We’re already getting rave reviews for the beautiful cover shot of La Balandra Bay by Claude Vogel. This issue we have a great feature on conservation that focuses on two beautiful areas on each side of the peninsula, La Balandra Bay and Cabo Pulmo. A Love Electric Jazz-Rock band

A Love Electric Naked Beat CD Release Party, Todos Santos, Baja, MexicoThe “A Love Electric” Jazz-Rock band will be performing a concert in Todos Santos at the theater Manuel Márquez de León on the plaza, Monday, March 25th at 8 pm.

“A Love Electric,” is an internationally celebrated touring creative jazz-rock band based in México City. The band and members have appeared with Keb Mo, Cyro Baptista, John Medeski, Ely Guerra and more. They have performed in Germany, Spain, Czech Republic, the US and México. “A Love Electric” just released a new record last February on the Mew Yprk City label The Royal Potato Family.

Dharma Talks and Art Openings

This Wednesday and Thursday, Nina Robinson visiting teacher from Tsegyalgar West Retreat Center in San Jose del Cabo will be giving two Dharma Talks that are open to the public for a 50 pesos suggested donation.

March 20, 7:30 pm she will speak at La ARCA in Todos Santos on “Working with Anger the Buddhist way.”

March 21, 7:30 pm she will speak at Plaza Tamarindo, on Valerio González in San Jose del Cabo on “Freedom from Suffering – Buddhist Paths.”

Nina will also be teaching a workshop, “Yoga of White AH & Chöd Retreat” March 23-31, at the Tsegyalgar West Retreat Center in the mountains of San Jose del Cabo.

St. Paty’s Day!

Celebrate 17 years of St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations on Sunday, March 17th at Shut Up Frank’s — Todos Santos’ favorite place for blarney.

Frank himself will be there, serving up traditional Corned Beef (soaked in brine for 30 days) and Cabbage with all of the fixings. There will be live music, cold beer and perhaps a wee drop of whiskey too. The fun starts at 3 pm.

The Distillery will be proudly celebrating St. Patrick’s Day this Sunday evening starting at 7 pm.  One (1) free Baja Brewing green beer to every customer wearing green!!!  Special corned beef dinner to add to the festivities.  They will be playing all the best Irish music including U2 and Van Morrison. Dart competition with prizes.
