The first weekend in December features art openings, fashion shows and a home tour.
December 2nd is the Cabo Columns Opening Night at The Shoppes at Palmilla in San Jose del Cabo. See all twenty-two Cabo Columns and meet the artists including: Lila Magallon, Gloria Ruenitz Santoyo, Nanette Hayles, Derrick Robert Grahn, Hugo Ortega, Pedro Gutierrez and Eddie Miranda. Cocktails, appetizers and live music by La Flaka. The Columns will be for sale with a percentage of proceeds benefiting Liga MAC and The Los Cabos Humane Society.
In Todos Santos, Manos Magicos invites you to their “Noche de Moda” presentation of dresses for the quinceaneras, their madrinas and attendants. The ladies’ latest work, perfect for Christmas gifts, as well as the popular and delicious Mango Chutney will be available. The show is free of charge as are the Botanas. Please come and bring your friends. at the Centro Cultural “Profe. Nestor Agundez.”
Saturday is the Todos Santos Home and Garden Tour. Featuring 9 beautiful locations in Las Tunas on the “otro lado.” This is a walk/drive tour since there is some distance involved. Local restaurant discounts will be offered with your tour wristband. Proceeds benefit Escuela Pacifica, a non-profit, bi- lingual elementary school program.
That evening, stop into the Grand Opening of Zatar Gallery in Plaza Alcatraz #4 (beside Hotel Casa Tota) with music, street performance, snacks and beverages. Featuring paintings and sculptures by Jaznum; Fashion by Dailir; Jewelry by Yves and performance by Azli & Mac.
If you’re in La Paz Saturday night, you won’t want to miss the Grand Opening of “The Image Makers” a photography exhibit featuring the works of Thomas A. Ireton and Gary Batha. The Bagel Shop y Galeria is located on Calle Belsario Dominguez between 5 de Mayo and Constitucion.
